Great product! I like the flexibility and adaptability offered by the system of screws and a washer. The white Teflon bi-material takes quite a beating, but the sides of the clip is not strong. On a couple of my old, near the outer edge of the screw hole has lost a plastic shark bite because of a crash hard. I find the rubber stopper at the center of the hold is just floating in the red version 9 degrees (think of moving your feet in the pedals a little ').
The catch is eaten by asphalt, if you decide not to come to a complete stop, and wiggle your foot on the sidewalk on smoothly. So ... stop completely, then put your foot to make contact with the floor.
It also covers clumsy cleat on the bike for about that should be sold in a package together ... but they are not. I honestly can not understand why not.
Exustar Red 9 Degree Float Look Delta Compatible Cleats
Road Bike Shoes Cleat Features
- Mode: Floating (9° )
- Material: Engineering thermoplastic
- Compatibility: Look Delta system
All new studs are a bit stiff when engaging and disengaging the pedal, but it seems a bit harder than most. It requires a strong key to get the foot out of the hold and on the road cycling shoes to avoid hitting the ground like a tuna.
However, the price is good and I think after a couple of weeks, I'll get used to the increased resistance or the card will be focused enough so that I do not notice.
Shipping was a bit slow on this particular order. Make sure you have a cleat in use in the meantime, do not wait until it breaks, as I did.
Shimano SPD-SL Cleat Sets
Road Bike Shoes Cleat Features
- Type: SPD-SL Road Racing
- Mode: 6 Degree Float
- Color: Yellow
- 3-Hole cleat mount
- Includes hardware
Previously I used SPD cleats on a road bike, what appeared to be a disaster. The platform is too small, difficult to move, unable to walk even a few steps, and so on. They are designed for mountain biking and must be used properly.
Then I tried to look like the cleats and pedals (not the original look) that was much better, but the shape of the wedge was slightly different from the Shimano SPD-SL, and caused the displacement of the clipping. Once slipped was impossible to push the pedal with cleat unengaded, which caused a lot of cursing of the drivers that I've shared the road with.
Shimano SPD-SL is a winner. Much easier to enter, remain. If you lose, you can always do one or two pedal rotations through the following cars.
A word of mention. Shoes are ideal for Shimano, but I had some difficulty in mounting the shoes Canondale, which required several screws. I have about 2,500 miles with these cleats and they still work like new. Please note that ride on roads with many traffic lights, which requires constant trimming / removal.
I just bought another set for use with a new pair of cycling shoes.
The owner of the office building is very sensitive to cyclists who may scratch the marble floor with their crampons. It is not a problem with them as they haver chewy edges.
